In a fun throwback moment, actor Will Arnett opened up about his early friendship with Bradley Cooper — and how the two young actors once fan-boyed over their legendary neighbor, Dennis Hopper.

During an exclusive interview at the premiere of Is This Thing On? in New York, Arnett revealed that he and Cooper lived in the same Los Angeles building early in their careers.

“We lived in this place where our doors opened onto the same stairwell,” Arnett recalled. “Across from us was Dennis Hopper. We’d see him in his backyard or heading out in the alley — and we’d just lose it. We were like, ‘Oh my God, that’s Dennis Hopper!’”

🎥 From Starstruck Actors to Hollywood Icons

Both Arnett and Cooper were up-and-coming actors at the time, long before Cooper became a two-time Oscar nominee for A Star Is Born and Maestro, and Arnett became known for Arrested Development and BoJack Horseman.

“For us back then, Dennis Hopper was this huge, untouchable Hollywood icon,” Arnett said. “We were just a couple of guys trying to make it — and he lived right across from us.”

🎞️ The Connection Comes Full Circle

Now, decades later, the two longtime friends are collaborating again in Is This Thing On? — a film written and directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Will Arnett.

Their reunion on this project marks a full-circle Hollywood moment — from two starstruck neighbors admiring Dennis Hopper to working together on a major motion picture.
